A deadline you can miss two different ways.

Insurance runs out on a date. An oil change comes due at a distance. Bortio tracks both at once and shows whichever arrives first, so you never do the arithmetic yourself. A notification arrives two weeks ahead and again on the day. Overdue items are deliberately never pushed: they are already on the screen you open.

Each state says what it is in words. Colour repeats the message, it never carries the message alone. That is what keeps the same row readable for a colour-blind owner, in daylight, at a fuel pump.

What the vehicle actually costs, derived from what you recorded.

Enter any two of total, litres and price per litre, and Bortio derives the third. Consumption is computed full-to-full from real fill-ups, so a partial fill never distorts it. When the data is too thin to be truthful, the app shows nothing rather than a guess.

Analytics and records share one filter, so the period always means the same thing in both.

No form to fill in first, because the moment you hold the document is rarely the moment you feel like filing it. Pictures are chosen through the operating system's own picker, which runs outside the app. That is why Bortio never asks for access to your photo library: it only ever receives the one file you picked.

The same passport on iPhone and on Android, and it behaves like each: system pickers, system navigation, system accessibility. Switch phones someday and the history is not the reason you stay.

On the day you sell, the history is already assembled.

Every entry made during ownership adds up to a biography: what was done, when, at what mileage, what it cost, with the photographs still attached to the records they belong to. Nothing to reconstruct the week before the sale.

A buyer reads a chronological account backed by records instead of a shoebox of faded receipts and a seller's word.

And because provenance stays visible, what you recorded yourself is never dressed up as something independently verified. Bortio is a record of your evidence, and it says so.

Local by default, and specific about the exception.

Your passport is stored on your device. Bortio works fully without an account, with no sign-up wall and no public backend holding your vehicle history. Exactly one feature sends anything to a server: reminders that survive a phone restart, and it stays off until you switch it on.

An anonymous account id, the notification token for your device, when to send, and the already-translated title and text you would see on screen.

Never leaves, under any setting

Your notes, which hold policy numbers and mechanics' phone numbers.
Photographs of any kind.
Mileage, and any deadline measured in distance. The server does not know when you will reach 97 420 km, and does not need to.
VIN, registration number, make, model or year.
Amounts, prices, currency, or your record history.

That list is closed, documented, and enforced by an automated test, not a promise on a policy page. No advertising identifier is linked into the app on either platform, and analytics never receives a vehicle, a number, an amount, or anything you typed.
